Changdeokgung Palace (World Heritage)

Changdeokgung Palace (National Treasure #122) is the royal villa built in 1405.

As it is located in the eastside of the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main palace, it is also called Donggual (East Villa).

It became main palace since the 9th King Seongjong period.

This palace is famous of its well-balanced structure between nature and artifacts.

There are many national treasures around the palace including Injeongjeon, Daejojeon, Seonjeongjeon, Nakseonjae, etc.

Changdeokgung Palace was registered as UNESCO World Heritage in 1997.

This palace is known as the representative architecture showing atypical beauty of Choseon Dynasty period.
